Dr. Harry Wallace Dr. Harry Wallace was born and raised in Gadsden, Alabama. He attended the University of Alabama and served in World War II. After receiving his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1952, he began practicing optometry in Bessemer. Dr. Wallace was named Alabama Optometrist of the Year in 1975. He has served on the adjunct faculty of the UAB School of Optometry and is a past president of the Alabama Optometric Association. Active in the Masons and the Shrine, he served as Potentate of Zamora Shrine Temple in 1993. He enjoys travel, and has visited clinics and hospitals in 28 foreign countries as both lecturer and observer.
Dr. Fred Wallace Dr. Fred Wallace was born and raised in Bessemer, Alabama. After graduating from Indian Springs School, he attended Tulane University and received a bachelor's degree in chemistry in 1978. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the UAB School of Optometry in 1982 and then entered practice with his father. In 1985, Dr. Wallace became a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and past president of the Birmingham Area Optometric Society and the Bessemer Rotary Club. Currently, Dr. Wallace also serves as Executive Director of the Alabama Board of Optometry. He is an Eagle Scout, and enjoys volunteer service with the Boy Scouts of America.
